For the past 10 months the outstanding ticket has made headlines as Western Australia's largest unsolved lottery mystery.
The woman says she put the ticket in a draw and completely forgot about it until she began worrying about money.
"I woke up this morning worried about our finances," she said.
"something made me think to check the tickets and I thought that if I win something, then I could help Mum and Dad out."
At first glance the woman thought she had won $13,000 but was later informed the amount was $13,185,273.
The woman wants to remain anonymous.
