My battle with a coconut

so there I was, quietly(okay maybe not so quietly) watching the Japan vs. Croatia game.. when I suddenly had a craving for coconut. Don't ask me why, I just did.. I was thirsty I was "kanchiong"(about the match) I was craving. So during halftime, I took the opportunity, tore myself away from the tv n off I went to find myself a coconut

and...... I fount a coconut! From where u ask? I have a coconut tree in my backyard.. every now and then, I climb up and pluck myself a coconut.. no, not really.. actually, the coconut tree's in the sorta-forest next to my house, and I don't climb up, my friendly neighbourhood monkeys do, and sometimes if I'm lucky, I get to see them kill dogs with coconuts.. no, not really.. okay, truth is, my parents buy coconuts from Sunday market every weekend to store in the fridge, oh how totally boring and anti-climaxing, but mmmmmmm, sunday market sells good fresh tasty coconuts, *smacks lips*
so anyway, I took out a coconut and placed it on my kitchen table.. I took out a knife, placed it next to the coconut, carefully positioned the coconut for slaughtering, and........ stared at it, yes for a full 5 minutes I sat there and stared at it.. would've been longer if the 2nd half of the football match hadn't started at that moment. 45 minutes and one last half of a football match later, I came back to the kitchen table and looked at the coconut again. Okay, I've seen my parents do this at least 10 times, and it seemed so easy for them everytime. How hard could it be? I'm pretty sure I can do it too.. yes I'm confident! So I picked up the knife, and started aimlessly hacking at the coconut........ half an hour later, I was still hacking.
Oh my goodness it was so not easy! My hands, my poor aching hands. And there was no turning back since I pretty much scarred the coconut so much no amount of covering up would've helped (If I were to put it back in that state, my parents would wake up the next morning and they will KNOW that I attempted to fight the coconut and failed.. yes I do have pride you know.. and I must not let them know how much they pamper me=D)
About 45 minutes of hacking and sweating later, I finally finally FINALLY managed to cut it open. How proud was I! The amount of time it takes for Argentina to score 3 goals against Serbia and Montenegro is the amount of time it took me to hack my first coconut open! And, not to mention, I have a battle scar. I managed to scrape myself with the knife.. unlike normal people who cut themselves with knives, I scraped myself. Something I'm extremely proud of 'cause it takes more skill to scrape oneself with a knife than to cut oneself.
Here I am now, with a cold cup of coconut water + flesh, and a long painful (itchy!) scratch down the back of my index finger. I have coconut, my nerves are stable, my skin is yet to be cleaned from the knife... I am happy =D see the happy grin
Brazil vs Australia starts.. NOW! off i zoom!

And thus a blog was born...or reborn anyway

I've decided to start up my blog again, simply because I have nothing better to do after my A Level Examinations, and im online every day anyway.. might as well do something productive and mildly entertaining while i await my results and Uni applications begin..

so anyway, just done deleting all my old boring posts.. I decided to keep the "whut whut whut" one only 'cause i forgot where i dug it from, and i might regret deleting it next time, so I'm a sucker for such inspirational quotes and blah.. so what..
current state: distraught.. reason: czech republic lost to ghana!!! how is that possible?! *sobz*
Yes, I'm very sore that my prediction went wrong, I've been correct for every match thus far, why oh why did czech lose to ghana today? *oh woe oh sighz oh sobz*
....oh goodness! italy vs USA match is starting, i will be back...(hopefully)!

whut whut whut?

just a lil smth i stumbled upon a while ago..yes in a forwarded mail!..lol..usually i dont bother but when i really have ntg to do=D..mainly on love..cliche cliche.. but what the heck..it's something to ponder=)

Don't find love, let love find you. That's why it's called falling in love, because you don't force yourself to fall, you just fall. (the more u chase it the more it eludes u...)

Love makes life so confusing, but without love would you really want to live? (absolutely not..without love, whether it be from parents, friends or significant others, what is life?)

Three things of life that are most valuable -Love, self-confidence & friends.

He taught me how to love, but not how to stop.

Of all forms of caution, caution in love is the most fatal.

Where there is love, there is God also.

Just because you know someone doesn't mean you love them, and just because you don't know people doesn't mean you can't love them. You can fall in love with a complete stranger in a heartbeat, if God planned that route for you. So open your heart to strangers more often. You never know when God will throw that pass at you.

People need love even when they don't deserve it. (no matter how bad a person is..they still need a little love..think twice before killing someone's heart next time)

Love the heart that hurts you,But never hurt the heart that loves you. (easier said than done..*sigh*...)
