happiness

It has been exactly one month since my last post.. so cool right? I haven't been blogging for the past month due to various reasons, laziness being one of them.. a habit I really should cut. So, a lot has been happening for the past one month, none of which I will reveal today 'cause this shall be a happy post (not that they weren't happy things happening but I'm kinda lazy =D)

So, my msn personal msg for the past couple of days was "happy people make me happiee.. happy people are so happifying =D". It's true, happy people are so happifying. I was sitting in church last week, watching people. Church hadn't started yet, so technically I wasn't sinning or anything. There was a young couple sitting not far from me, nurturing and playing with their baby. They looked so happy holding their baby, probably the one person they loved more than each other. Not far from them, there was an older couple. And they were holding hands. Not a sight i see every day. Most couples lose the flame after a few years or even months of marriage. Such a happifying sight it was to see that not all couples are like that.
Outside, there were a bunch of kids running around chasing each other, playing like they were at home in their garden. Kids without a care in the world; kids who knew nothing of the corrupt and evils of this world. If everyone in this world could be as innocent as those kids, the world will be a MUCH better place. They were happy, just running around, laughing out loud at each other, not a care in the world. No bitterness, no spite.. just plain pure innocence.
Near them, there was a group of young teenagers, barely 15 I'ld say, sitting under a tree. They were just sitting around talking and laughing with one another. Still young, still carefree, still unknowing of the complications they will face later on in life. They were content, just talking and laughing about the little things in life that make them happy.
There were so many happy people around me at that time. It was so satisfying just sitting there watching them, and it reminded me of the peace this world really needs. If everyone could be so full of love and happiness, wouldn't the world be a nicer place? We could do without much of the greed, corruption, and nastiness of the world these days. I honestly felt like I was in heaven at that moment.
And then a police car sped past with its siren wailing, obviously in pursuit of a criminal, and I was brought back to reality. This world isn't all sunny with pink fluffy clouds and beautiful blue birds chirping in the trees.. in fact, it's more of a thunderstorm just waiting to happen.
But, as long as we know who we are, what's right and what's wrong.. I guess we'll do just fine. =)
