And they are made out of real things, Like a shoebox of photographs
I walk into my cupboard door on an almost daily basis. It's not even funny anymore. Sometimes I really do wonder where I leave my mind. Time rewinds to last Friday.
Class was meant to start at 10.10 a.m. So early morning 8 a.m. rolls around, and *ting* like clockwork, Joce rises from bed. And falls back down for "another 10 minutes". When she finally rises for real, it was half past 8. Out she goes to the kitchen to fix herself breakfast + prepare her bento for lunch. So in goes the rice into the cooker, and she happily fried away at her tamagoyaki and veges. A shower and a quick scurry around the room looking for her books later, the rice was still cooking. "Oh no!" she thought, "I'm not gonna be in time!". Fortunately, after some time, the rice cooked and a quick roll of onigiris later, her lunch was ready. Back to the room she goes, lunch in hand. She puts the lunch down while she finishes packing her bag, and out the door she goes. As she reaches the front door, she realises something is missing. Back she ran into the room and picked up her lunchbox, threw it in her bag... and cracked her elbow hard against the wall. -.- Eyes watering from pain and fast-walking towards the busstop, she realises the bus was already there picking people up, and she still had a road to cross. So off she ran after the bus, hair flying, bag lagging, face flushed. Needless to say, by the time she got on the bus, people were staring. Since the bus was quite full, she trudged towards the back of the bus and plopped down on the seats in the last row. Now she usually uses her mp3 player (yeah, her free one that she got for buying printer ink) during transit (on the bus, walking etc) and it was the same that day. What she didn't know at that time was, 5 minutes into the bus trip, her batteries had died. A full 10 minutes later, she thought "hey, I don't remember ever downloading these songs." She finally realised that the music she had been hearing were actually blasting from the earphones of the aussie lad (with unfairly beautiful hair) sitting next to her. -.- By this time, she was starting to get seriously worried that she was gonna be late for class. And she really didn't want to be because this was a lecture, meaning there were close to 300 (maybe more?) other students probably already sitting in their seats in the auditorium. So she started mentally encouraging the bus: "Fly bus fly. Onwards!" And it worked. She ended being 1 minute away from being late. As she entered the already-full auditorium, she scoured the crowd for an empty seat. Empty seat spotted! And she scurried up the steps towards the seat.... only to trip and almost-fall in front of 300 other students. *wishes the ground would open up and swallow her whole* The rest of the day flew by and she was really happy, having a semi-reunion catch-up dinner with yew inn, clem + gf, sim (video-calling over msn so he unfortunately couldn't eat all the yummy food we had that night =D). Then it came time to go home. Now, earlier that day, she had bought a humongous chinese cabbage which was on sale, and she was extremely happy with what she paid for it. Hugging her purchase and bidding her friend goodbye, she entered her home and headed directly for her room, cabbage in hand. "Wait a minute, the fridge is in the kitchen. That a-way!" So she turns around.... and walked into her cupboard door. -.- Moral of the story: If you buy a cabbage big enough to house a family of mice, put it in the fridge before you go to your room.
